OK, if you go to different sites for news and research, you can name one or two of each, but I want multiple inputs on top references, focused on quality of information, not a long laundry list to wade through. I know the decision might be tough, but thanks in advance for distilling it down to your top choice(s)!

Dr. Stephen Hawking made the statement that the Earth "might end up like Venus, at 250 degrees centigrade and raining sulfuric acid."

http://www.usatoday.com/tech/science/2006-06-22-hawking-warming_x.htm

That's far above the boiling point. Are we starting to enter into a Steam Age?

Dr. Hawking must be right. No one is as smart as him.

You Build 2 Bio-Domes that represent the planet on a small scale. In one dome you let the skeptics on Global Climate Change and the potental for man to destroy himsef do what ever they want, because that's what they are all about, right. Then in the other Dome you put in some scientists, environmentalist and people that care about the planet. There is a set time limit, and each dome has to live with the concequences of there actions...

We can pump a bunch of extra CO/2 in the one dome, so the skeptics have a better chance to prove their point and allow for the testing of those alternative theory's they talk about.

It would be a way to find out who's right and who's wrong with out having to gamble with the whole planet!

First, thank you very much to whomever can help me satisfy this curiosity.

I know that ethanol, especially in America (where I live), is not a great substitute due to the fact that it's produced with a dirtier and costlier product -- corn. Of course, corn is going to be used because American politicians (professional liars) subsidize it heavily. Additionally, ethanol reduces the efficiency of gasoline because it doesn't hold as much power when combusted. Still, ethanol lowers our need for foreign energy sources and cleans up gasoline a bit. All that said, is biodiesel any better then gasoline? Does biodisel have reduced efficiency when compared to regular diesel? What about economic and environmental impacts?

Any hard numbers or real research would be much appreciated. I look forward to picking the most informed answer!

Since we know co2 is the main driving factor in global warming, and we know how much co2 causes warming, and we know the amount that co2 is increasing every year, why not just prove the skeptics as fools by telling us what the climate will be next month, next year, 2 years from now, and 5 years from now, and show us your work to how you came to this conclusion?

Should be a simple task., And after you show them wrong, who would be foolish to argue with you anymore?

Just prove the world is getting warmer, by how much, and show your work.

What could be so hard about that?

And don't tell us that's weather and doesn't count, global warming can only be predicted 50 years out - that's a bogus cop out.

Some of the skeptics say the temperature record is all wrong, and we're not really warming. (Watts)

Others disagree with them, accept the fact that the temperature is warming, and say it's due to cosmic rays causing clouds which warm us up. (Svensmark)

Other skeptics disagree with that, and say that it is warming and that CO2 is the main cause, but that warming will form clouds - which will COOL us down. (Lindzen).

Still others say that all the models are wrong, which puts them in conflict with Svensmark and Lindzen. (William Gray)

So the skeptics cannot only not convince the scientific community, they can't even convince other skeptics.

Doesn't that say a lot about the validity of their theories?

I am not going to post all the links that showing there isn't this massive consence that global warming is man made or it is over blown by various scienctists.

I just look at who is making money off this.
Al Gore and his carbon credits
Now taxing babies

So tell me again about the same science that can't even predict the weather for this weekend is the one that is 100% sure we are all doomed if we don't believe Al Gore and worship him and give him our offerings to the man-made global warming gods.
