You Build 2 Bio-Domes that represent the planet on a small scale. In one dome you let the skeptics on Global Climate Change and the potental for man to destroy himsef do what ever they want, because that's what they are all about, right. Then in the other Dome you put in some scientists, environmentalist and people that care about the planet. There is a set time limit, and each dome has to live with the concequences of there actions...
We can pump a bunch of extra CO/2 in the one dome, so the skeptics have a better chance to prove their point and allow for the testing of those alternative theory's they talk about.
It would be a way to find out who's right and who's wrong with out having to gamble with the whole planet!

We could never replicate this planet, I realize that. But talk about entertainment!
It would be like Steve Erwin, Suvivor Guy and Brady Barr against some oil exec, a Sunday school teacher and a proffessional procrastinator.
I think I'll contact Fox News!

My intention is to come up with some way to prove a point without name calling, confrontation and violence.
I'd think this reality show idea would be a contest both sides would take interest in and have fun with..
But I wouldn't play any game I didn't think I could win.

Hey Bill, Thanks for your input. I am not a scientist. Just a humble straw bale home builder that has been a part of the environmental movement for 30 years now. I helped with the Sustainable Design Resource Guide in the early 90's with the American Institute of Architecs and then in the mid 90's I worked with the Home Builder's Association of Metro Denver to develope "Built Green", which now has international recognition...
I drive a 1976 VW Campmobile with a re-tooled desiel engine that burns veggy oil and gets 27 MPG. I fly paragliders for fun and spend 10 to 12 hours outdoors almost every day, in all types of weather.
I stand in a place of integrity on these issues, and ask no one to do anything I would not or could not do myself.
I am a path finder and gate keeper.
With out action this planet will die from the lack of stewardship it deserves. You claim a title that is associated with knowledge and wisdom, but words fall on the ground like dead birds.

That would be cool. The only problem is you can't fully simulate the planet in a biodome.
You could simulate several decades of change by pumping in CO2 and having a heat and light source vary as the Sun has/will, but how do you simulate cloud formation, glaciers melting, things like that?
If they could figure out an accurate way to simulate climate change, it would certainly be a very interesting experiment.

First, while it is somewhat clever and a reasonable idea for someone who is not a scientist, Bio-Domes is a completely useless way to measure the effects of Global Warming as a function of increases in CO2. Climate is extremely complex and not very well understood. Case in point. NOAA has not been able to get the number of hurricanes right ever - especially over the last two years. Also, if you plan to "pump a bunch of extra CO2" into one of the domes, be sure you do it in proportion to the actual amount of CO2 in the Earth's atmosphere which is only about 0.04 percent - Venus' atmosphere on the other hand (the example alarmists use to predict the effects of CO2 on our atmosphere) contains 96% CO2 or 2400 times more CO2 then the Earth.
Alarmists use the logic: It is warm outside; there is more CO2 in the atmosphere; therefore, CO2 is causing the warmth.
OK then. The rooster crows; the sun comes up; therefore, the sun comes up because the rooster crows.
The leaders of this stupid movement claim that it is too late to stop uncontrolled global warming (http://www.commondreams.org/headlines06/0403-01.htm), yet absolutely none of them do anything significant to reduce their "carbon footprint". They purchase some carbon credits or buy a couple of light bulbs so that they can feel good about themselves. Yet they continue to live in multiple homes to size of mansions complete with heated swimming pools; fly in private jets; tool around in their fleet of SUV's; etc. etc. etc. If these people truly believed that the Earth was doomed, they would be making real changes in their lifestyles. Nope, as a practicing scientist with 25 years of experience who has researched the data. It is simply a scam designed to take large sums of money out of the pockets of gullible, good-intentioned people.

Yea, that's a great idea, but I don't think that too many people would watch it. Believe it or not, there aren't that many people out there that are GW skeptics any more, it just seems like it on this message board! So unless you put Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in one of those domes,I don't think you'll get too many viewers!

The Grace of God is the GIFT of God. Undeserved favor. Our spirit is really the birth & seal of the Holy Spirit that we were sealed with when we first believed. The spirit is related to our heart. Our heart has the Love of God in it. So that is Jesus in our heart. The Grace of God is the GIFT of God and we receive Gods Grace just because God loves us. He has blessed us with every good gift from Heaven. When we are born of Gods Spirit, and born a spiritual-soul, this is how Jesus knows us. Through our spiritual birth. Spiritually. If we are not heart connected, then Jesus does not know us. He knows who we are, but there is no intimate heart connection. The fullness of God was with Jesus and he is full of Grace & Truth. This is that Jesus is the Christ. The Holy Spirit Anointing. So when we are born of God, we receive the anointing (Spirit of Grace & Truth). Who comforts us and leads us in all the Lord has said. These would include the various gifts of the Holy Spirit. The reason we are CHRISTians, is because when Jesus Christ is Lord, then we also are anointed (Christened) Gods child. So all of Gods Kingdom is available to the Church of Christ through the anointing of the One Holy Spirit. All pure & perfect gifts come down from the Father of Lights. The Lights are probably the Holy Angels, the Saints, & various treasures of His Kingdom.

Oh, haha. Very funny. A Biodome with a GLASS ROOF is much different from a planet with an atmosphere.
And would you STOP taking digs at Dr. Jello, who, in case you haven't noticed, happens to be the top contributor of this area in the forum. (Not that that necessarily makes him right, but I'm sick of all this name-calling and nit-picking.)

Why do you think that skeptics are "pro pollution"?
This is just a straw argument that believers make, without any merit.
Skeptics want a clean environment, we just choose not to join the brown shirt crowd goosestepping down the streets.
