I'm trying to envision what would be the quality of life in London 50 years from now if we disregarded all the global warming warnings of today, and actually had more energy output,more gas emissions, and an unprecedented level of carbon dioxide being released from more and more cars,airplanes and factories. Thank you!

I am currently tryong to convert my entire household to energy independence. I live near a running water source, a creek. Is it legal for me to build a hydroelectric generator to exploit it? I wouldn't be interrupting the ecology, just a series of small propellers on the surface.

The Air handling units employed in the Pharmaceutical industries, usually have filters that prevent Bacteria or microbes to enter, as the production requires sterile air.

Usually the filters used have a size of 2 microns only.
* Why not lesser than that say 1 micron, to enhance better filtration?

Please, serious answers only.
Your help great/small will be appreciated :)

The state and central Govt. are keen in constructing new bridges, buildings, culverts and paving roads, and they NEVER MAINTAIN OR REPAIR the already existing structures! Thereby, we Indian lose a substantial amount, for creating new-new projects and wasting money in it! For example, go on paving roads one layer on other and destroying the mountains too!!
IN BRIDGES, WE SEE LOT OF PIT HOLES, AND UNEVEN JOINTS, WHICH CAUSE THE "TANGENT SHEAR FORCES" TO THE BRIDGE STRUCTURE, WHENEVER THE HEAVY VEHICLES PASS ON IT! In turn, the bridge faces, the daily threaten which shorten the life-span of the bridge sooner than the designed expected life! And it leads to invisible expenses, to reconstruct "again the new bridges", from the public by over taxation and all!
How to Maintain the already constructed structures?
And what reward/ punishment can be given to the concern authorities for keeping/ not keeping them in good maintainance?
When will our nation's outlook change?

DiHydrogen Monoxide
-------------------

A freshman at Eagle Rock Junior High won first prize at the Greater Idaho Falls
Science Fair, April 26. He was attempting to show how conditioned we have become
to alarmists practicing junk science and spreading fear of everything in our
environment. In his project he urged people to sign a petition demanding strict
control or total elimination of the chemical "dihydrogen monoxide." And for
plenty of good reasons, since it can:

1. cause excessive sweating and vomiting;
2. it is a major component in acid rain;
3. it can cause severe burns in its gaseous state;
4. accidental inhalation can kill you;
5. it contributes to erosion;
6. it decreases effectiveness of automobile brakes;
7. it has been found in tumors of terminal cancer patients.

He asked 50 people if they supported a ban of the chemical. Forty-three said
yes, six were undecided, and only one knew that the chemical was "WATER", H2O.
