we have been in it for quite a while already ,it is just taking off
Is global warming a man-made menace?
not all there are natural cycles in the planets life
but a lot is influenced by mans existance ,and this is increasing with overpopulation, putting strains on Natural resources and increasing contaminations as well as destructions of essential componants the ensure living conditions for all life forms
some home truths
politicians and scientists who work for politicians have downplayed the facts because solutions are expensive and means change and change effects many people income, and most of the world is kept in the dark of the real things that are going on.
in North Africa,India,Mexico ,millions of people are effected by land loss and desertification
in recent times thousands of people have died because of exessive heat, usually old people.in India ,Mexico and France,
deforestation causing desertification, the desert conditions causing very cold nights and scorching hot days
in china, thousands of what used to be farmers are running for their lives from the dust storms that have burried their towns and turned their lands into dessert, the globe where they were got to hot for them .
and instead of producing food they are now needing it from some where else, and they will drastically effect the world food prices when they start buying water in the form of grains ,at any cost destabalising governments, in some countries ,could be the result
(are you seeing more Chinese around interested in agricultural lands ,we do here in Mexico)
,the Sahara is growing by 7 kilometers a year
and all of the desserts we know are a results of mans actions ,and they are increasing ,not getting less ,in the dinosaurs days ,there were no desserts.
collectively this planet is drying up because of bad farming practices like, over grazing and fertilizers,
as far as the food production is concerned, Global warming or some of its effects are serious, rising seas result in landloss
each degree rise in temperature means 10%crop loss
more landloss because of desertification every year,we have less areble land to produce food ,for an extra 70 million people ,
and there is less and less water (because of deforestation),to irrigate this production ,
and there are less and less farmers to do it..
who are overpumping deep carbon aquifiers
who are plowing more and more unstable lands because they have lost so many million hectares to desertification ,
because of bad farming practises ,such as using fertilizers and heavy machinary or over grazing
RISING SEAS
The northpole is melting ,and we will know it without ice in our life times.
this does not affect the sea level because it is ice that is already in the water.but the melting ice from Green land and the south pole ,are another matter.
Global warming is in theory reversable, but it will mean global co operation between all countries ,and taking into account human nature and the world politics ,it is unlikely that this will happen,
At least not untill we are all in the middle of planetary disastres and it becomes a battle for the survival of humanity every where.
SOLUTIONS
if you want to help the planet ,plant a tree every week ,if everyone on the planet did we we would be able to reverse the destructive processes
reduce carbon emisions, and they are already working on that by alternative forms of energy and regulations on carbon producing materials, aerosol cans, burning rubbish, industrial chimneys, powerplants etc.
the capture of carbon and the production of water and assist the aquiferous manta.
the world bank pays large subsidies for reforrestation to capture carbon and the best tree for this is the Pawlonia
Waterharvesting projects ,such as millions of small dams.to redirect over ground waterflows from the rains into the ground to supply subteranian water supplies.
the protection of existing forrests.
stop building more highways, urban planning to include vegetation stop building cities encourage people to return to the land to conduct their business from there which now has become possible thanks to the internet.
education to motivate people to auto sufficiency by building more home food gardens.
education on environmental awareness
education on family planning to curb over´populaion
Agricultural education and improvements to follow the principals or sustainability and soil management.
more environmental or land ,design to prevent bush fires, such as--fire breaks
,more dams.regulations and control for public behaviour
alternative effeciant public transport to discourage the use of the internal conbustion engine
recicling wastes,limit water use

Immediate? How about last year? It's happening today, this threat - and the threat itself was apparent 20 years ago. It's real and occurring everyday.
Go to Glacier National Park in Idaho... The park rangers there might tell you that the glaciers there are much smaller than 30 years ago. Go to Greenland where there have been large melting lakes of water on the surface of the glaciers there and the water has been cutting into the glaciers there. There was open water AT THE NORTH POLE two years ago during the summer. Mountains all around the world are losing their snow-caps.
Go to Siberia where methane gas is escaping... and, methane is something like 20-25 times more of a "greenhouse gas" than carbon dioxide. Look up "methane hydrates", please. Spend 1 hour reading up on it, because the mainstream media won't touch it - or this information is been intentionally suppressed.
The frost line in Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire and other northern U.S. states is not as deep as it used to be which is causing erosion with the melting snows - if there has been snow that year.
Hurricanes in the southern Atlantic are rare, but becoming more frequent. Last week was an enormous hurricane off the coast of Madagascar which formed in the Indian Ocean.
Global warming isn't something to put off into the future, m'dear. It's here and now...

Hollywood and their dupes the enviros. It is highly unlikely that CO2 produced on the surface of the earth has any effect on CO2 levels. Further, scientists breathing on the snow cores drilled in Greenland no doubt artificially added CO2 simply by breathing on the snow cores. The higher levels may not be compacted as tightly or as densely from ice as the lower core levels. CO2 is absorbed instantly by plants on land. Also by water in the oceans. Also by snow. Water constitutes 85% of the earth's surface. It has an affinity for CO2 instantly absorbing it And then buffers it. Which means it has a vast reservoir capacity for CO2. Colder holds more. Whereas, plants take up CO2 when they are growing. So 15% of the earth's surface is land, but 2-3% is frozen or desert. So plants grow on say 12% of the land. But they are dormant 1/2 the year because of winter. The other 1/2 is daylight only ~1/3 of the time. So down to 6% because of the seasons, and then 2% because of day light. Which leaves 98% of the effective CO2 exposure and uptake is within the oceans. And the reservoir is limitless. CO2 being heavier than air has a downward gradient to the seas. The plants in the ocean utilize CO2 instantly also.
The only CO2 that has no immediate clearing is the CO2 from burning in the upper atmosphere. That would be the JET engine. Each ton of kerosene burned produces 3.66 tons of CO2 and 1.56 tons of H2O. Jet engines burn 1-5 tons of fuel per hour each. There are thousands of hours of jet traffic over the earth every day. Nature does not have an efficient method of clearing the CO2 and H2O from the high altitudes. The 'alleged' rise in CO2 is in the last 40 years. Inconveniently, the jet engine has been in increased usage in that same time frame.

Voila! an dazzling subject remember wherein common floor between 2 very countless issues could desire to be got here across. whether you have faith in worldwide Warming or no longer the actuality nonetheless continues to be temperatures are turning out to be and the polar ice caps are melting. you will could desire to blind or stay decrease than a rock to no longer notice those issues. the main substantial reason i think of that many human beings positioned this off as fiction is with the help of the fact in the event that they agree and save on with technology this time it makes them look undesirable for putting different issues off that technology has additionally shown actuality (evolution, huge bang thought, etc.). they do no longer wanna component with it now to dodge looking undesirable interior the long-term that's undeniable BS. that's winter right here in Florida and we are dealing with eighty degree climate! I mean that's often warm, no lie, yet winter is often the time the place it drops to a minimum of 60. Why human beings won't be able to positioned their ideals aside to attain our planet is in intense hassle is previous me. the two way Christianity has consistently finished the alternative of what that's supposedly meant to do....

Look at the polar bear. They are going extinct because of global warming. No joke. They will be extinct within our lifetimes. Look at the rising sea levels, the changing weather patterns, the rising sea temperature, the changing patterns of migration. Children in parts of Australia cannot go outside during certain parts of the day for recess because holes in the ozone let ultraviolet rays through. Yes, global warming is real. Yes, people are in denial. Yes, it sucks. Yes, you can find a study to prove anything. But it is common sense if you look at it.

Global warming is really a threatening phenomena but not to that much level as explained by those in holly wood.Today we speak of global warming because of the unxpected rise in average level of temperature...but when we look back the history there are evidences that there were rise in temperatures above the normal level, here we cannot say that this rise was due to global warming. so the rise in temperature which we r experiencing today might be a part of natures cycle.....

ignore the idiot who posted before... Global Warming is REAL and hollywood has nothing to do with it. and human activity is causing unnatural growing trends with global warming beyond what happens naturally. it has been scientifically proven. they say it'll be irreversible in 30 years.. but we won't be able to break even by then even if we started now, but that's not a reason to not do something about it. however if stupid people want to keep mucking it up.. then don't come complaining when it comes..

It's very tricky. The threat is not immediate, say 20-50 years.
But if we wait until it really hits before we start seriously trying to reduce it, it will be too late to avoid serious consequences.
This is going to be a tough political sell to people who don't believe in science.
