OK, here you go:
The most common evidence cited for a link between temperature and atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations is shown in the graph here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Vostok_420ky_4curves_insolation.jpg
This plot is often referenced as "proof" that changes in atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration promotes changes in global temperatures. However, if you examine the data closely, it states the exact opposite, i.e., changes in temperature promotes changes in carbon dioxide concentrations.
In this plot, look at the region betwenn 100,000 and 150,000 years ago. Note that time in this plot goes from right to left and NOT left to right as is commonly the case. At about -140,000 years the temperature begins to rise and AFTERWARDS the CO2 begins to rise. More apparent is the region about -125000 years. Here the temperature plunges while the carbon dioxide concentration remains elevated for an additional 15,000 to 20,000 years. Now, if increased atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration causes global warming, how can the temperature fall and the carbon dioxide concentration remain elevated?
The answer is in the temperature dependence of the solubility of carbon dioxide in sea water. If you look at this site: http://www.rocketscientistsjournal.com , you'll see that the historical data record is fully explained by the fact that as the atmospheric temperature rises, the oceans release carbon dioxide. So, carbon dioxide acts like mercury in a thermometer. It is an idicator of the temperature, but it does not control it.
The final demonstration is to hand your teacher a cheap, liquid-type (it used to be mercury) thermometer and ask him if he really believes that adding more liquid to the device will make the room warm up.

If global warming is caused by man made CO2 levels and other "greenhouse" gases, then why is it happening on Mars?
The recent climate trends are natural and most likely caused by the changes in the suns output, and other natural fluctuations.
Dr T. states the Facts very well without all the politically charged rhetoric about the climate.Check this site

Global warming is a theory and has not been prove. It was generated by the left to show that we are using more fuel than we should. That is when their super minds came up with global warming to make u guilty .
1. CO2 yes we generate a large amount ,if there was nothing to counter act it we would all be dead. The plants through photosynthesis have taken care of most of it. The plants use the C to produce there food so it accelerates their growth. So ask her where has most of the CO2 gone.
2. Methane is a very light gas and will go very high in our atmosphere. It is also an explosive gas. They want u to think that there is a large lake of it in our upper atmosphere. They have generated all these figures ,how did they measure it??? Go get some real data as the methane is not there. Can u find it ??? There have many missile's launched through it and there was no explosion. Where did it go ??

Idea. Try to change sides in the debate.
Global warming is not natural, a vast amount of scientific data shows it.
Volcanoes emit less than 10% of what man does, and because of dust emitted, contribute less than nothing to global warming.

Nature does produce and capture a lot of CO2. But it's a delicate balance that we're upsetting by digging up carbon the cycle buried over many thousands of years and burning it real fast. This data shows what's happening. The little teeth are the carbon cycle doing it's thing (plants are more active in summer, less in winter), the huge surge up is us burning fossil fuels and kicking nature's butt.

And increased solar radiation is also rejected as a major cause by hard data.

People can talk, but massive amounts of hard data shows global warming is NOT natural. Which is why:
"the question of global warming was settled years ago for all but a few holdouts in the scientific community"

First of all, my dear, your belief is totally wrong. Global warming IS happening and that too at a fast rate! Its fundamental cause is the ever increasing levels of green house gases(carbon dioxide, methane, carbon monoxide etc.). These gases trap the sun's heat and do not allow it to escape back into the space. Consequently, the atmospheric temperature is increasing. This is global warming my pal. And it is happening at a fast pace mainly because these gases are being pumped into the atmosphere in heavy quantities. If this continues at the present rate, then according to scientists, the polar ice will melt and fload the coastal areas( glaciers are already disappearing). The whole climatic cycle will be disturbed, agriculture will be devastated. In short, it will cause complete devastation.

Global warming is happening. The exact cause is the only thing there is to debate. Is it pollution? Is the planet moving closer to the sun? Are there volcanoes erupting under the polar caps? Is the sun about to explode? Who knows? But it IS happening!

This is a great source of rational information about global warming (it is happening, but it is not caused by man)
