mercury is a chemical of some sort that pollutes the water enviornment, etc. It killls the animals and humans that use it. People use it to light up their shoes or something and we can ban together at the capital to protest and make a national law against the use of mercury.

What's bad about mercury is that it was extremely rare in the environment until humans started mining it and burning coal. Now low levels of mercury are everywhere - air, ocean, nearly all of our food. Mercury is toxic in very low concentrations, and it gets converted by bacteria into methylmercury which bio-accumulates. Large fish at the top of the food chain - tuna, sharks, salmon, swordfish - all have relatively high levels of mercury due to bio-accumulation.

In the US, mercury emissions from power plants, products containing mercury, and drinking water standards are all set by EPA. Mercury in drinking water is usually removed by charcoal filters. Mercury in food is regulated by the FDA.

Mercury is a metal that is liquid at room temperature.
It's also a neurotoxin, which is why it's so bad to ingest.
If we cut back on the burning of fossil fuels and water incineration, we can keep it out of our water.

So, did I actually help?

Well if you want to know what it is, check this wiki link. It's too much to explain here. It's actually an interesting read. BTW, nice boobs and legs on your 360, glad to see you aren't shy.
