After at least 50 years of warnings and predictions of global mayhem due to capitalistic ecological vanalism, in 2006 an economist presents a paper on the effects of the global economy not turning green, and everyone is suddenly interested. It's reconned that we have 10 years to change or we're in for some serious sh1t. Can we really be expected to cooperate on a global scale to sort this mess out given the current global political and economic maelstrom?

To strap air filters on all planes to clean up air pollution? They do fly all over the world. It would help reduce air pollution immensly and maybe look into starting solar powered planes or electric planes. Being their large and all they use the most gas at altitudes close to the atmosphere. Are they affecting the Ozone?

IF THIS GOES INTO AFFECT YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST! =0 )

Like should we sell aerosols when we can get that same product in a pump? Should recycling be an option or requirement? Should old nasty emmission spewing cars be allowed to remain on the road? Should we continue our current rate of Logging? etc...

Our council does not collect plastics or cardboard. If I drive about a mile to take them to the recycling centre, am I doing more damage to the environment than if I didn't recycle them?

I have a 1.3L Ford Ka which runs on unleaded.

I'd love to know scientifically if there is still benefit in us recycling under these circumstances.

Thanks
