HAHAHAHA!!!! Am I the only one getting the quip about recycling as a whole?!

I agree, there's more freakin' containers for the recycling than the damn recycling itself!!!
And in my area... don't get me started: we can't put envelopes, or bottle caps, or brown cardboard in the bags. The garbage men come round and dig through every bag and slap big 'contaminated' stickers on them if there's even one thing out of place, and then they wont take them.

Of course this annoys me terribly, I think that we should be awarded a medal just for trying, let alone putting up with this. So my response is to go around and pull all the stickers off so they take them anyway.

As a smoker myself, i know that the cigarette manufacturers don't actually want to place those warning stickers on the side of their packets. They're required to do so by law to ensure that everyone who buys their product knows the side effects. It's illegal to sell products that have been deemed harmful to the general public knowingly. So the warning stickers are a burden but also a saviour of sorts because it allows them to continue selling the cigarettes. It should be illegal period. But that would eliminate alcohol products as well. So why go through the whole hassle? To me, i barely notice those warning stickers now. It's horrible. But smoking is one of my only vices. Albeit a horrible vice but... it's my choice. I don't appreciate judgement especially when it's coming from a guy or girl that gets drunk every Friday night. We all have our own vices... our own little masochistic tendencies. This is mine.

Give him a break!! the guy is Considerate.... and I don't blame him....
The best way to tackle this problem is that there should be only ONE additional bin, for recycling, and all dry stuff, like plastic bottles, cartons, etc,,, let the Municipal guys Sort the stuff out - that way we create some more jobs - and cut the shitt out from manufacturing multi colored bins,,, Rest is as they say - ALL GARBAGE!!!

Most people I know that still smoke, put them in the ash tray and light them. It doesn't do much harm to the environment and at least its not landfill! Each one of your 20 smokes, give off more toxins into the atmosphere than the wrapper ever would!
