I doubt terrorist would rig a bunch of running cars to a buildings air ducts but, is it a possibility in use against buildings, shopping malls, i doubt subways because they have detectors for such gases.

First of all, the amounts of CO or CO2 would be tremendous to have any effect in an area like a mall. Its a dilution factor.

CO2 can be condensed out of the air. CO is a product of combustion and by far the most dangerous. But, then again, its the dilution factor and a ventilation system that exchanges outside air for inside air. The logistics would be incredible.

Well most of the CO detectors are probably dead as the sensors are chemical and only last about 3 years. The CO2 is no problem as the gas is very heavy and the plants if any would absorber a lot of it. CO is very similar and in most cases the only ones in real danger are lien on the floor. CO is not odorless that is a hand down from many years ago when the natural gas had no odor. The CO2 made from gasoline smells different from that made from gas.
CO is very dangerous.

and just what do you think they are going to do with a ton of CO2?
suffocate and entire building of people with it?
attempting to do that would definitely be an act of desparation.
would be something you see in a Spy Vs Spy comic in Mad magazine! LOL

Countries that have used poison gas in warfare have not used CO because it cannot be made in large enough quantity to be an effective weapon.
