Or do you think it's each person's right to choose how much responsibility they take for preserving our planets health, and even making possitive changes?
Like should we sell aerosols when we can get that same product in a pump? Should recycling be an option or requirement? Should old nasty emmission spewing cars be allowed to remain on the road? Should we continue our current rate of Logging? etc...

I wasnt suggesting that all older cars be taken off the road, I was specificlly talking about the clunkers that make it hard to breath when they're idoling in front of you with black emmissions pouring out, (you know, the cars that are effected by that strange law that exempts most environmentally unfriendly cars from getting smogged)

we must try to involve the public in all such activities creating an awareness by highlighting the advantages we derive. it is absolutely essential.

no, if we continue living as we are we're just gonna consume the earths natural resources. I'm all for removing nasty emmission cars from the roads. I mean to a point there's only so much we can do, because we do need cars to get around and we do need all these other things. But the government should really get strict on the companies that design the products that we use in our daily lives.

Yes, I do. After all, it is for our own good.
The sad fact is that major corporations don't want to shell out the extra dollars or loose a bit of money to make their products (be them paper, cars, or whatever) more environmentally friendly. Politicians often listen to major corporations as they have a lot of money and power.
Products that are environmentally friendly often are more expensive then just their "regular" options. Many people are uneducated about why they should reuse items or what to actually do when they recycle.
As for things like laws for cars, not everyone can afford to go out and buy a hybrid or cleaner emission car. That's just unrealistic.

This problem will not be solved by asking - coz its the componenets that are hazardous - not the way one uses...

The best way to tackle this problem is NEW and OLD
1) For all NEW items like pump/cars/etc. there should be regulation to stop manufacturing after a certain cutt-off date...
2) For the OLD ones, cans/pumps shall exhaust, nobody will find new ones to buy.... as for cars, there should be a heavier financial registration - to cover cost of Environmnet burden...
3) The above can only be achieved if information/knowledge and direct implication can be understood - for the adverse affect - and this can only be done if whole International Community is educated... might need sometime - or accidents - envir. related... the USA is the main one dodging away... Knowledge is not as advance / complete as Medicine (AIDS, VDs, etc)
