To strap air filters on all planes to clean up air pollution? They do fly all over the world. It would help reduce air pollution immensly and maybe look into starting solar powered planes or electric planes. Being their large and all they use the most gas at altitudes close to the atmosphere. Are they affecting the Ozone?

IF THIS GOES INTO AFFECT YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST! =0 )

This could be done today, but who would pay for it? Who would be in charge in making sure that planes had to reduce air pollution? Do you want one-person seated planes to have this requirement too? Would international flights be exempted? What about companies that aren't based in the US? Would you ask them to do it if it cost $500,000 per plane? Would airlines agree to this if given the choice?

Airplanes do affect the ozone but not directly since they aren't high enough to be in the ozone layer.

there already are a few planes that can run on fuels made from corn oil, but there not commercial. I saw it on either the discovery channel or the science channel. This guy had to travel the U.S without using fossil fuels.

it would cause them to have to use more fuel to stay in the air, creating more pollution than they did previously, so no it wouldn't be smart at all.
