most of us have enough going on in the rest of our lives to not be concerned with the looming threat of a 1 degree change in the climate.
ok, so its more then the relative change ofthe last "insert large sounding number of years here" but honestly... whats that do for me? Not a damn thing, thast what.
If its 43 degrees tomarrow insted of 42.. does that ean i wont havve to pay my bills? That my wife and son and I will not be sick? That my Job isnt going to call me in while im sick to work for someone else that called in? Is my houspayment going to pay itself?
No, my friend, none of these things will happen because of a minascule temprature change.... So I ask you... why am i concerned with the overall temprature rising from 43 to a whopping 44 degrees?
Oh,, because in a few CENTURYS the ice caps are going to melt and drown us all.
Heres a news flash................. YOU WILL BE DEADER THEN A DOORNAIL ANYWAY
But what about our kids, n their kids, n their kids, etc???
Well, my answer is... WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO TO STOP IT? Not a damn thing.. thast what i suppose. Because, what can you do?
I suppose you could lose sleep worrying about whats inevitabley going to happen HUNDREDS or THOUSANDS of years from now...
Id rather not, thanks

It's most likely due to the fact that global warming is a slow process compared to other natural problems. People don't see or feel the problems right away and with the constant scare that it WILL cause problems, it doesn't affect people now. I wouldn't say that someone can be happy with global warming, but some people may not care about it.
Besides, there is also a group of people who discuss the fact that the earth has gone through many cycles of climate change and this may be one of them.
Other people may only seem to think that global warming is not a big deal, after all, the earth's average temperature has only gone up a few degrees over the last century. Unfortunatey for them, they don't understand that those few degrees in the last century is more of a temperature change than over the last 100 000 years. Maybe if they got their info right, they'd understand the issues and be more concerned.

Global warming is a tempest in a teapot..
Global destruction does not loom..We are not doomed..
The sky is not falling..
The earths climate has been changing for billions of years
and will continue to do so...
So what if all the ice melts and some low lying lands get flooded.
Mankind will be fine....We will adapt...
Don't worry....Be Happy....

Did you know that the global warming that the proponents of that theory allude to is only 1/2 of 1 degree F over the last 100 years?

By realizing that the sky is not falling and the threat of global warming is bogus. See an excellent question and answer on this topic in today's forum activities.

If one is a pious God fearing person - no need to worry about anything. Energy is neither created nor destroyed....
The Earth and its Universe are a thing toooo big (out of proportion) to the population / industrialism of the world. The Universe knows how to adjust itself ... the only thing is that some areas might be affected in the short run,,, but nothing manly can destroy earth (not talking about life, and that too cannot extinct before the heavenly promise is fulfilled)....

Maybe knowing that Global Warming is a myth that's being spread by wacko tree huggers and dirt bags like Al Gore to scare people into being like them or to at least vote for them. It's all BullShite and there is no evidence it's anything more then a natural cycle if it even exists.

I don't know how anyone can be happy with it, or sit idly by and do nothing. Join an environmental group and take some action! Sierra Club has chapters all over the nation. www.sierraclub.com

in life there are solutions to problems...50 years ago we thought we could never do things we do today...thats the nature of time and the elements as they relate to humanity...there is hope...and for those who would strive to take hope away from you...they are lost...
