I'm a education major. I have found that when I talk to my family or friends about education they act interested at first but eventually they glaze over and ignore me. Why are people so indifferent about education when it is so important?

I'm looking for high school teaching jobs across the entire state. I think I'm doing something wrong because I'm not getting called for any interviews. Should I call them and follow up? How long should I wait before doing that? How long do I wait before pronouncing it a lost cause? I know that annoying the human resources people would be bad, so any advice you can think of would be helpful. Thanks!

I have thought for a long time now that I would love to teach art to children, but have never really had a chance to look into what is involved. I have no degrees beyond my high school diploma (but have been working in the art field professionally for 15+ years), and am uncertain what is required to even begin the process, what education I am going to have to get under my belt, degrees, certificates, whatever. Thanks!

The Government of gujarat has declared pension scheme to non grant taking schools of gujarat affiliated to Gujarat secvondary and higher secondary school board. No mention is made for the schools affiliated to CBSE and not taking grant though these schools are recognized by the Gujarat education board. This is an injustice to these teacher who neither receive pension from CBSE nor from the state board

My brother just 2 days ago got caught with plagiarism, yet only a warning, and on another essay one single paragraph (introduction), because of me, the other essay he probably can get caught again. I found the exact same material on google, so I know the teacher can probably find it.

I have two deaf students in my college English class in writing. They cannot understand the novel we are reading. They read it but it doesn't make sense to them.
Are there any other educators who have experience with this?
I want to know if I can do anything to help them.
Thanks!
