Im am going to be a junior at a highschool in San Jose, CA. There are a lot of young teachers at my school and most of my teaches are younger than 33. Why do they become teachers? Many kids dont respect them, and they just say how cute this teacher is or that teacher is. I understand if young teachers teach at a lower level but highschool? The teens don't respect the teacher. Yes, sometimes they do respect them but not all the time and not the amount of respect they deserve. Why do they become teachers? Also do you believe that they should also get to know the student on a personal level?( the important things that might affect the student.whats going on at home, with friends, ect)

apparently it has nothing to do with imminent i was told .... but so far haven't been able to find a definition for it but american websites use it in the same way as british english sites and meaning in a grammatical point of view .. therefore should i take it that imminant is the american version of the british imminent?

I am talking about the private school chain in a few western states. If so, what are the salary and benefits like? How long have you been there? Do they have good programs? Are they supportive of new teachers? My husband has in interview tomorrow.

I have been learning english for more than 10 years, still cant speak it very fluently, so I wanna ask native speakers for some good suggestions, by the way, I hate the way of chinese teachers teach english, they ask us to recite new words every day :( it's no fun at all, no one is interested in that boring way to learn a new language, Thank You!

I would much rather see a phrase or word on my "watch list" rather than a question that (once resolved) is "dead"...so I could answer questions I know a lot about (like certain novels, poetry, wedding song choices, etc.) and I would know when new questions have been posted.

Anybody else think that's a good idea?

My physical science teacher is a huge asshole, and the type of guy that just enjoys failing people, and making people look stupid. The only reason they can't fire him is because he has something called a "10 year", can someone please explain to me what that is?
