I think you need to put yourself in the shoes of a school student for a second - they just spent six hours in school. Why would they want to take an additional course outside of that? What would it offer them? Most will say that they already take an English course. It's a very common class, both in the US and abroad.

Be prepared for an abundance of "foreign" students. IE, non-American.

English and grammar/spelling are under attack in America.

At my university, we can post flyers around campus to "advertise" the courses we teach. It really helps.
