I'm writing a persuasive essay on why my high school should enforce school uniforms. The reasons I chose are...
-reduced costs for students (since they don't have to by as many clothes because they wear a uniform 5 days a week)
-Improve saftey (They make it easier to recognize who does not belong on campus)
-Support equality. (Everyone looks the same)
But I still need a catch to start off my essay with, any ideas?

When I grow up, I want to own my own business through Primerica (a financial planning business), and eventually go into politics. Anyway, Tuesday I have to choose my classes. I have them all planned out except for 1 semester class. So, which one do I take? Here's a list of ones I'm considering:

http://www.alvirnehs.org/documents/2006-2007-program-of-studies.pdf

Public Speaking- page 11

Political Theory- page 14

Banking, Credit, and International Finance- page 33

Business Managment- page 34

Financial Planning- page 34

Foundations of Business Law- page 34

Economics- page 12

Or any other class you see that looks good and is 1 semester. Please actually read the class overview and give me your opinion and reasoning. Thanks.

I am in my first year of high school. Since the first week of school I have been very depressed and cry almost every night. I am only now asking my parents to switch to a different school. I have a few arguments ready, but I am afarid if they say no what I will say, or for that matter what I will do. Any ideas on good arguments? Thanks a lot

I trained as a teacher at uni and have a 2.1 in Primary Education (7-11) with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). Although whilst at uni I did 4 seperate teaching practices I didn't do my NQT year as I got the travel bug. I have however spent the last 2 years in Japanese elementary schools teaching English.

My problem is that I am moving to Princeton with my partner and I would like to work. Can I teach with my current certificate or not?
I have tried reading the information provided by the state, but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense!

Please help!

Hi! I have a question regarding the homework (or lack thereof) for my two girls in 1st and 4th grade. And so you know my background, I teach high school math...so this isn't any type of slam against teachers at all.

Last year, my kids were in a different school, and they had weekly assignments, even Kindergarden.

Now that we moved, and are in a different district and school, they rarely get homework, or it is sporadic. As a teacher, I would think that even in the younger grades that it is a good idea to assign regular homework, of course, small amounts for the young uns, but at least on a regular basis so the kids can develop those habits that are lacking in my high school aged kids.

I mean my wife and I work with our kids at home with extra things to keep their skills up, but I'm worried about the kids that don't do ANY schoolwork outside of school!

Thoughts? Should I just let it be? Talk to somebody? What are your opinions?

As a student, does a teacher's lifestyle influence how you look at him the classroom.

As a parent, does a teacher's lifestyle make you request a different teacher?

How would you like your children's teachers to act outside of school?

Does a teacher's lifestyle matter to you?

The school she is in at the moment is residential and she is there for a assessment which finishes soon and no other school as been set up for her. She was already out of school for a year before she went to the school she is in now, although she is doing well in her education the social side of things are not working out therefore they will not be keeping her there. She is on 17tablets aday to help with her behavior an she is having side effects from them. I am worried for her future, does anyone know what residential schools can meet her needs?
