When I grow up, I want to own my own business through Primerica (a financial planning business), and eventually go into politics. Anyway, Tuesday I have to choose my classes. I have them all planned out except for 1 semester class. So, which one do I take? Here's a list of ones I'm considering:

Public Speaking- page 11

Political Theory- page 14

Banking, Credit, and International Finance- page 33

Business Managment- page 34

Financial Planning- page 34

Foundations of Business Law- page 34

Economics- page 12

Or any other class you see that looks good and is 1 semester. Please actually read the class overview and give me your opinion and reasoning. Thanks.

Only you can make the decision about what classes to take.

No matter what area you eventually end up in, public speaking will come in handy. Understanding basic economics is also essential in any business-related career. An introductory class to business management will also be useful no matter what you do in the future.

Do not expect to use political science classes in order to launch a political career. Most people who succeed in politics have already succeeded in something else, such as business or law.

The banking, financial planning, and business law classes would probably be better tackled in your second or third semester when you've got more of the basics under your belt.

I would always stick with your planned major. Because you really don't know if you're gonna like something unless you take a class with it, volunteer, or "shadow" someone with that profession. I think Economics is very important in the business world.. But I would probably take Business MANAGEMENT since you plan on owning your own business. Good luck!
