Depends on where you are. More than likely it will NOT be much different from your FIRST year in MIDDLE SCHOOL.
I mean you will be a SCRUB again!
You will be competing against 17 year old Cheer Leaders who look like Britney or Paris and you'll be 3 years behind them in clothing, taste and body deveolpment.
BUT you'll catch up eventually!
As far as the classes go, it's not much different until you hit a 4 year college, then things SPEED UP and MORE work is required.
High School is just a continuation of Middle School with older kids and cars and more drugs and more booze and more parties and working parttime.
Expect to be "Clueless" the first month, but you'll have some freinds from Middle school with you to help beat the blues.
Remember YOU will be defining the senior year in 3 or 4 years and all those Seniors today will be "old guys" with horrible hair styles, funny taste in clothing and totally not with it!

It all depends on the high school of course. This year i was a freshman in high school and it was... different. Once you find where you fit in it isn't so hard. The school work is more challenging and the teachers expect more out of you, but don't stress over it. Just keep your head on and make the right choices and everything should work out just fine. Good luck and don't forget to have fun!

Congratulations! High school is really exciting, actually. It can be rough, I won't lie, but remember that very few things that happen socially during the your time in high school will affect your life for good. You'll have good times and bad times, but the trick is to enjoy every minute that you can and make friends. I took lots of pictures of my friends and I, and I'm so glad I did. I look back on those pics with very happy memories now. And contrary to what they say, you really can make life long friends in HS. I've been out almost 10 years and I'm still close with most of my core group from way back when.
