My daughter has lennex gastaut syndrome which means that she as uncontrolled epilepsy, severe challenging behavior, moderate learning difficulties, autisim and a.d.h.d.(very complex).
The l.e.a. cannot seem to find a school that can meet her needs and she as been excluded from every special needs school she as attended coz of her behaviour, yet this is part of her dignosis. The school she is in at the moment is residential and she is there for a assessment which finishes soon and no other school as been set up for her. She was already out of school for a year before she went to the school she is in now, although she is doing well in her education the social side of things are not working out therefore they will not be keeping her there. She is on 17tablets aday to help with her behavior an she is having side effects from them. I am worried for her future, does anyone know what residential schools can meet her needs? All the professional people involved dont seem to know the answers?

The National Autistic Society has a school in North Devon called Broomhayes. I have no idea if it is any good or if it's residential, but it may be worth checking them out.

Good luck with it, must be a really worrying time for you.
