Find something in the subject matter that interests you. For example, I like mysteries, and I tended to look on homework as a mystery to solve. If you like adventure games, think of the homework as a dragon to slay!

Another way to motivate yourself is to look at the big picture. Do you wish to attend a school of some sort after high school? Is there a particular occupation you are planning to pursue? Remember that you will have a greater chance to do it if you learn to work.

Set Goals: for example: If i get this homework assignment done completely and correctly i can go see that movie this weekend with so and so. or if that doesn't motivate you you can always find a study buddy and that way you can keep each other on tract make sure it is someone though who is in it for the long haul and won't just say this is boring lets go play video games! good luck!

I had a group study. It kept me motivated, plus we usually reserved a private room at the Library with all equipment. We close doors, study, review and also make some jokes once in a while. We all had the best grades. We even went to the library on Sunday. Do whatever it takes!

It's hard to motivate yourself for that, especially if you're just "not interested" but you do have to think of the future benefits.

One day you're going to get into higher education, where you can do things you're really interested in.

But you've gotta start somewhere.
