Primary & Secondary Education - October 2006

It used to be that parents and students respected the teacher's opinions and methods. They supported the school and its decisions. However, there is a wave of change circling society. Parents and students are feeling a certain "entitlement" stemming from paying their tax dollars or tuition in the name of education.

What will this mean for the future of our schools? Is it right to allow parents and students to dictate policy and procedure? Or even curriculum? Or should we entrust the education of our students to professionals who are certified in this department?

I really like my female teacher... REALLY like her.. I always find myself sucking up to her and showing off, I want to always spend time with her... my friends and I joke around and say im flirting with her... and that would probably be fine, if it wasn't for the fact that I'm also a girl!!! what am i supposed to do? she's my P.E teacher and she's a lot nicer to me than anyone else. I guess what im asking is, do you think she'll ever "LIKE" me back, am i just insane? should i continue with what im doing... the sick thing is im always fantasysing about her... HELP ME!!!

I'm in my last year of GCSEs and I have no idea what I need to do in A-levels.

How many A-levels is reasonable? I have been told between three and five, but I do not know if five is pushing the time boundaries.

I am wishing to go into marketing so are there any specific A-Levels I should do? I checked on John Moores uni website, but they were non specific.

In my GCSEs I am predicted 10 A/A*s, and a B if this helps.
