There is a site run by the US government that has info on every country in the world and on the world totals.... it is called
The CIA World Factbook.
And you shouldhave no trouble searching it.

You'll get different numbers depending on which site you use:
#1 below is from the U.S. Census Burea, and #2 is from the aforementioned CIA World Factbook
