Average salary would be okay, but I definitely need specific district information. I'm thinking about moving to the area and I need to know if it'd be a jump from my salary in Michigan.

It's hard to find a good list, but try this site:
www.suntimes.com/pcds/cgi/schools.cgi

You can select a county. You want Cook County , DuPage County, Will County and Lake County for the greater Chicago area. Chicago itself is located in Cook County.

In the Cook County area, elementary district numbers generally begin with 1 and high schools with 2. The site takes you to school report cards which have a section dealing with teacher salaries.

i don't think of there may be lots opposition to a instructor earning a "intense" income, offered the ineffective tenured waste of area down the corridor can get canned. Many instructors at my previous intense college (north shore of long island) earned 100k + and that replaced into in the overdue ninety's. a number of them deserved it a number of them have been thoroughly ineffective, some have been in between. Pay the large ones properly and make it basic to do away with the ineffective weight OR settle for the commerce off of money for job secure practices. those look the recommendations attainable.
