My teacher is always saying how we should have a thesis statement but I never seem to get it. I am writing an essay on Two Kinds by Amy Tan, and i'm not sure what the thesis statement should be.

I go to a catholic school and all the teachers are tuff and strict. You even have to wear uniform that make you look like a nerd. ASnd rules let me tell you about my teacher's rules, there are 3 pages of it, and it is not including the school rules.

Would you prefer a commuting or residential situation? How about a correspondance school/homeschooling program done mostly online? How much would you be willing to pay for each service? What sort of curriculum would you expect? How much time/money/effort would you personally be willing to put in to make it happen?

My own thoughts? A combination of all three possibilities (residential, commutor, and online homeschooling program) would be ideal, with prices adjusted accordingly. I personally could only afford about $300 per month, that's $150 per kid. I wouldn't want to send them to a residential program, but I'd pay that for a commutor program, though I suspect it's worth more. Homeschool wouldn't be an option for me (If I stayed home I wouldn't be able to afford it anyway). I would expect a broad curriculum including comparative religions, fine arts, Latin, literature, natural science, mathematics, pre-college writing, alot of hands-on experience. I'd be willing to put alot into it.

School starts tomorow. I am in the 8th grade. I got into a program that lets me take advanced Math and Spanish at the high school in the morning. I also am in reading enrichment and math enrichment classes at my middle school. Last year I used to be be in the math and reading gifted class. I got A's in both. Are reading and math enrichment class for the gifted, average, or students who need extra help?

There not being educated properly. Their being promoted through the grade system without being required to learn the required material.
I believe that all students (private and public) should be requuired to work the same amount at school, as adults do at their jobs.
50 weeks a year, 2 weeks vacation, plus about 10 days for the major holidays.
Then maybe they will concentrate more on retaining what they learn. And if not, they should be held back. Even if they have to repeat the same grade 3 or 4 times in a row. If they still cant move forward then we should examine the quality of the teaching staff.

It goes like this:

Oh Senor Don Gato was a cat
On a high red roof Don Gato sat
He went there to read a letter meow meow meow
Where the reading light was better meow meow meow
Twas a love note for Don Gato

I adore you wrote the lady cat
Who was fluffy white and nice and fat
There was not a sweeter kitty meow meow meow
In the country or the city meow meow meow
And she said she'd wed Don Gato

Don Gato jumped so happily
He fell off the roof and broke his knee
Broke his ribs and all his whiskers meow meow meow
And his little solar plexis meow meow meow
. . .

I can't remember this line or the next 2 verses? Anyone? Anyone at all know this?
