I assume u mean secondary school. Most importantly, be yourself, if u act differently just to try and fit in u wont make good friends and will be stuck acting for the rest of your school days. Secondly, hav fun! You can get away with a lot in 1st yr. Dont take advantage of that too much though, u'l regret it later. Some people love first yr, some hate it. Most of the people i kno think 2nd yr is the best ever. Try and stay on your teachers good sides in the begining and it makes things easier later. You dont need to suck up tho, that just alienates your class mates!

Have fun! Be yourself and don't let the older kids walk all over you. Work hard but not too hard (save the really hard work for 4th and 5th year.)
If you have any problems talk to your teachers. They'll probably have over 600 students to watch over, they wont notice that you're really having problems with something (be it work or other kids) unless you tell them.
Most important info: Get on your teachers good side. Yeah you may get called teachers pet or a goody two shoes but you'll be 1st in line to be a prefect/mentor and will get great references from them for college or work. School is easier and a lot more fun when you're not being chased down by angry teachers.

Suggestions about what?? I just finished 1st year and it was grand just be like how ya were in 6th class its exacyly the same. Actually its better u get a break avery 40 mins. good luck!!!!Ohh and dont b afraid about gettin into things ya wont get into trouble, remember that it was da only mistake i made last year!!!!

all you got to do is be yourself and whatever you do dont try to act like others! it will be hard on the first day if you dont know anyone there but you should just relax and try to talk to people.
do you do anything original?
do you do irish dancing? i do its great
if you do you shpould try to show some of the others it could help you gain some friends!!!
