Salt is soluble in water and sand is not. Just put both in water, stir and then let it settle. Pour off the water (with the salt dissolved in it) into a flat container and apply heat or sunlight to re-evaporate the water and crystallize the salt back to a solid.

Process is solution, decanting, evaporation, and crystallization.

-1) Filtration, cause the salt will desolve in water but the sand is "insoluible".

-2) Decanting. This is simply pouring off the salt in the water!!

If u want to come out with both sand and salt after the experimentation you'll have to evaporate the salt out of the water after seperating the sand!!

u can use the process of filtration as salt is able to dissolve in water and separate itself from the sand. to get back the salt however, use evaporation process.

Immerse it in water and cook it. Drain off the water (that now contains the salt), and pour it out in to shallow pans. Wait for the air to evaporate the water, and you'll be left with salt crystals. Harvest them into a waterproof container.
