Should I take AP Statistics or AP Calculus next year?

Which one will let me NOT take college math?

Actually neither, you get college credit for getting a 3 or above on the AP test.

Assuming you do that:

It depends on what you want to do in College.

If you are going to go into a science/engineering/accounting field, neither. The college will make you take it anyways (required course.)

You take either for credit if you go into a humanities major (English, History) because it'll be used for general education credits.

definately calculus. even if you need statistics for your major, i think you should take calculus because it goes so deep. at my college, there are 4 levels of calculus and then it branches off on to many many different focuses of calculus. statistics on the other hand is just one small section of math. i suggest you study a lot and take the $80 AP exam. if you do good you can earn college credit for up to calculus two. that saves A LOT OF $$. it's not gonna be easy though. you'll have to push your imagination to the limits to understand the concepts of calculus.

I propose that in case you have any interest interior the mathematics/technology field, alongside with engineering, take AP Calc. If no longer, i decide for to propose AP Stat because of the fact probability is you will use stats in maximum fields. in case you have the prospect to take the two, i might strongly motivate it. no longer liking the instructor isn't any reason to hold back. all of us have had to artwork with human beings we aren't prepared on whether it is how WE react that concerns. decide for it and stable luck to you !

statistics are so easy try it you may like it. If you like the idea of making sense out of the world by using numbers you will like stats.
