I'm a sophomore in high school and recently recieved a letter from Champlain College in Vermont. I've been thinking a lot about what I want to do and have decided that Marine Biology is right for me. However, Champlain does not offer courses in Marine Biology so does anyone happen to know of a good college for an aspiring marine biologist? All insight is greatly appreciated.

so is that rumor that colleges search you on myspace and determine whether they want to admit you into their college based on your myspace? a guy in my friends dads' business says they do, and even in my school newspaper it says 'watch out, colleges look at how many myspace friends you have... the more friends on myspace you have, the more likable you are, and the more they want to admit you to their college'.

I am a college student.

I have been asked by my hometown newspaper to be interviewed by email about my college scholarships that were given to me by private donors.

What are some insightful things to say and to show I truly appreciate them?

I'm a junior in college. I am an excellent student - 3.8 GPA. Involved in the community. School is important to me. As any college kid, I'm in need of the money.

I live in Minnesota and there's a choice of colleges. I see lots of advertisement on Rasmussen College (http://www.rasmussen.edu), and they mention that the college is regionally accredited. I don't think it makes a big difference for me. Am I right? Please share your thoughts.

Recently, I've really been stressing about college, SAT's, class rank, GPA, grades...basically the whole academic enchilada.

I'm a 15-year-old junior.

I've taken the PSAT's, and got a 180 [equivalent of 1800, I didn't really try because I didn't know they were that important...]. If I tried, could I potentially get a 2100+? I'm taking the SAT in a month.

3 out of my 6 classes this year are AP's [college-level courses]; next year, 5 of 6.

I'm on the school newspaper, the French Club, Juniorettes [ a community service club] and the English Honor Society, and the French Honor Society.

But somehow, I don't think this isn't enough.

What else can I do to increase my chances of getting into an excellent college? [I'm talking Ivies here, or should-be Ivies]

Thanks in advance.

But somehow, I think t

I am thinking of going back to school. I am a very busy girl and have no time for real classes..even though I wish I could. I am thinking of getting my Associates from them and transfering to a real University for my MBA. Has anyone had problems doing so? Anyone acutally completed a degree from online classes? Is It still hard to find a good paying job if your degree is from an online school?

I've been in and out of college since 1996, the reasons varied but mostly because I had to work and take care of my mother as well as my son. Currently I have remarried and my husband provides a very comfrontable income. I don't know now whether to sit on the high horse and enjoy life or go back to school to finish my education in Architectural Design. I'm looking at a minimum of 4 years to complete everything towards obtaining the license for an Architect.

I have been looking in depth at universities, and I really like the University of Michigan. I like everything about it- it would be my "perfect fit" college. I want a big ten school because of the athletics and the location (I live in wisconsin), and I am an excellent student, so I'm looking for a higher-rated academic school, and I'm NOT into drinking, so i don't want to go to madison. The only problem is that out-of-state tuition is too much. My parents are willing to pay for in-state tuition , but i don't want to go anywhere else!!! Should I look at other colleges and give up my dream school, or should I take the chance and graduate in debt from loans???? help!
