the citi bank website gives a good description on what colleges look for. it even has steps to take as a freshmen, sophomore and so on. a large help with financial aid, if needed, is to volunteer a lot. colleges look at this too. it helps make you more well rounded. its good to think about college this early on, but dont forget to enjoy the high school experience. have fun while reaching your goals. remember they are YOUR goals, not anyone elses.

Wow, you are able to extremely a lot get into any college you pick to. for sure, Harvard and Yale are not basic yet you've were given a shot with those grades and all the AP training you've taken. I propose searching at different enormous named faculties and one or 2 ivy league to work out what scholarships you'll get. come to a call on the colleges first then do the study. yet you probably did not record any after college events, volunteer memories, or something outdoors of school to exhibit how energetic you're. Grades are one issues yet in addition they pick to understand what else you may want to do.

I have a better idea - Talk to your school counselor about scheduling your classes so you can finish your high school requirements early (like literature, history, etc) and take summer high school classes on (algebra, economics, etc). So you can just focus the full-year classes in 11th/12th grade.

Doing that will allow you to have time to take college classes during your junior/senior year and qualify you for early dismissal & late arrival periods.

That's what I did, and ended up starting college as a sophomore before I turned 18. 10th/11th grade sucked for me, but senior year was the best. If you're really motivated, you can do it.

For many colleges it's GPA, classes taken (honors, AP, Ib if offered), and test scores (SAT/ACT). Extracirriculars, community service, leadership roles, class rank, reccomendations, and essays are also looked at but aren't quite as important.

To get into a "good" college, maintain A's and B's (mostly A's), try to take honors or AP courses, do well on your SAT/ACt, get involved in clubs or sports, do community service, and try to get a leadership role in a club or organization.
