I'm a sophomore in high school and recently recieved a letter from Champlain College in Vermont. I've been thinking a lot about what I want to do and have decided that Marine Biology is right for me. However, Champlain does not offer courses in Marine Biology so does anyone happen to know of a good college for an aspiring marine biologist? All insight is greatly appreciated.

I was in your position when I was a sophomore. I had decided I wanted to be a marine biologist but had no idea where to go. I am currently a senior at the University of Washington, not studying marine biology exactly, but fisheries sciences. It is the top rated fisheries sciences school in the country. Check it out, depending on what you want to do within the marine biology field, it could be the perfect place, but it might not be right for you. What I can tell you is the professors are great (and many are internationally known and recognized), and the TA's are really easy to talk to.

If you are willing to go out of state i would try Hawaii or Alaska. The best place to study life in the sea is a place where the sea is. If thats too far try like San Diego or Florida, I'm sure they have good schools for that field.
