I've been in and out of college since 1996, the reasons varied but mostly because I had to work and take care of my mother as well as my son. Currently I have remarried and my husband provides a very comfrontable income. I don't know now whether to sit on the high horse and enjoy life or go back to school to finish my education in Architectural Design. I'm looking at a minimum of 4 years to complete everything towards obtaining the license for an Architect.

If you really have the desire, the time and the resources now is your time! Go for it!

Go for it. I hope you learn a lot. That would be cool if you ended up making some designs for some new buildings. I look around at architecture and wonder what the "#)$# people were thinking. There's this whole world of creativity that unfortunately some people don't dip into.

Anyway, you never want to be too comfortable. You might become numb.

What's the worse that can happen? Not much, really.

As long as your husband supports the idea of you returning to University then by all means do it. Four years will fly by and you will be pleased with yourself for the accomplishment.

I was in my 40's when I returned to a tech school and received my aircraft mechanics ratings. Because of my life's experiences I was able to apply myself better and graduated tied for second highest GPA for our class.

Looking at the not so good side of the coin, the "What if..." you could be alone someday and with your education and your young age you could easily take care of yourself. Don't just look at the next four years...look way down the road twenty and thirty years.

Good luck in your endeavor.

Go for it. I started a degree part time at 38 and finished six years later with 1st class Honours. I know a woman who was awarded a PhD in her 70s after eight years of research and writing her thesis. You are never too old to study.

By the way, keeping your mind active helps delay the onset of Alzheimer's disease if you are going to get it.

I went back to school at age 36 and became a teacher.

I would go for it...you also don't want to look back once your older and have regrets for not doing it and not being all that you could be...(no not in the army) but I really think that you should try for it.

Go for it. What happens if you and your husband split up down the road? You need to be self sufficient.

I say go for it - you clearly want to do this . It sounds as if you've done plenty for other people in your life - do this for yourself!

Good luck...
