I've been sick all day, and haven't had the motivation to study. There are so many things I have to to by the end of the weekend and the beginning of next week, but have been feeling totally out of it all day today. Besides napping I haven't done anything. What do I do? I really need to get this stuff done!

Any thoughts or words of wisdom would be great. Thanks!

Need some advice from older students who have been in school awhile. Our school has a student day each term offering workshops, speakers and such. The coord (one I know--he is a Honor soc advisor) frequently sends out bulk emails about the day and what is scheduled. Along with this is a note stating that all classes are cancelled, which has been confusing for many new students because some teachers won't cancel their class for that day. Here's the issue: I sent the coord a note (thru the suggestion box) on how to make the event less confusing for NEXT term. I offered my class, which the prof made very clear that we will meet, as just an example of the fact that some classes still meet regardless of the notices telling us they won't. (Personally, I would prefer to meet since Monday is a holiday and I think we would miss too much!) The coord brought it up during an administrative meeting and now the s*it has hit the fan big time. My prof is livid and completely out of control.

I am taking a class from a very difficult teacher- In fact Im not sure I will be able to pass the class- I just wish he could see my other class grades- I have a 3.89 GPA total the past two years here at college. Sometimes hard work just doesnt equate to understanding things though. I participate in class and ask many questions when I go to office hours and I go to tutoring outside of class do all the extra credit etc- just like I do my other classes and I am pushing for this class but Im still doing horrible- becuase I just dont get it. Do teachers have access to your transcript grades in the university system? It seems like they wouldnt- as that would be a privacy issue.. I wish they could though...

Please, if there are any math majors who are not teaching in high school, let me know what it was like when you got your diploma.
I plan on majoring in Math, minoring in Computer Information Systems and possibly pursuing a Master's Degree in Math after that. Would this leave me with many opportunities for work?
Thank you.

Would a top 25 school have more difficult coursework than say a tier 3 or 4 school? Or is it just that you are competing with more intellegent students. Thanks.
