I have applied to Masters degree in around 12 Colleges in the USA. I've been waiting for admission decisions and I'm worried since I haven't received any mails notifying my status of application. Should I talk to the Universities or wait for a while?

He insists we call him Jay not Dr._______ or Professor _______, and everyone does, but I feel really weird calling him Jay because I want to ask him for a recommendation letter and it seems like I would come across as unprofessional . Do teachers who insist on their students calling them by their first names really mean it, or do they expect students to call them Prof____ or Dr_____?

I'm in college and i hate it so much. I have been in school on and off for 6 years. I'm getting to the point and just drop out. I'm suppose to graduate in december 2007, but by looking at my grades, thats a long shot. Its hard trying to have a full time job and work your classes around it. When i find a job, they are at the wrong times. Should i just give up on school and get a full time job and move on with my life. I will be 30 in a few years and I feel that I'm getting no where. Stressed and depressed

Hello, I am a sophmore and am looking for the best fashion design schools in the south, preferably thoses states around Florida. I have been doing days of research and my only findings result in those technical, online, B.S, universities. Can you name any schools that I should look up according to my preferences to be in the southwestern states?

I'm about to register for my junior year and I really don't want to have a repeat of this year; I don't want to take classes that will overly stress me out. But the main reason I want to take more challenging classes is because I want to get into a really good private collage and I know it will look very impressive to have collage level classes in high school. Then there's the rumor I heard that collages look mainly at GPA instead. Because I'm taking higher level classes my GPA is a little lower than I would like.
Does anyone have advise on what collages look for?

Almost every single party around where I live gets busted by the cops. If there is more than 30 people at your house...theres no hope. I'm in high school so obviously there is underage drinking. But what I am wondering is do parties get busted in college as much they do in high school? The way college life is made out...it seems like people just have crazy parties with hundreds of people and they never get caught. So basically my question is...do underage drinking parties ussually get busted in college? I know there are hundreds of colleges...but im just talking about in general or from your personal experience. thanks

I am currently a junior in high school, i will have 41 of a required 47 credits for an Academic Honors Diploma at the end of this year. Leaving me with 14 credit opportunities as a Senior. I have decided to graduate at midterm and move on from there. Completing my high school ed. in 7 semesters. I have a 3.75 GPA and have taken a strong schedule of classes to this point. I plan on going to the University of Indianapolis and studying Sports Management.

What i really need to know is what to do after graduating. Quick College Admission in January? Start with summer classes in May? Get a job and wait?

I believe I can do any of those. I just need some other views on it. I want to do something different than this same high school thing all the time. I just need to know if going from high school to college in a month(Dec-January), is something that is possible.

Thanks you for any help you give, its greatly appreciated.

I will be graduating soon with a BA but have been recently thinking of attending graduate school. The problem is I don't "know" very many of my former professors. I was thinking of taking a class this fall (after I graduate) as a post-bach student, with a professor who I really liked and had a while ago. Do you think this would be a good idea, so that I can reestablish a relationship with her, and so that when I ask her for a recommendation letter she will be willing to write me one? In other words, do you think grad schools will think it's odd that I took a class after I graduated?
I have no idea....help!!
