Almost every single party around where I live gets busted by the cops. If there is more than 30 people at your house...theres no hope. I'm in high school so obviously there is underage drinking. But what I am wondering is do parties get busted in college as much they do in high school? The way college life is made out...it seems like people just have crazy parties with hundreds of people and they never get caught. So basically my question is...do underage drinking parties ussually get busted in college? I know there are hundreds of colleges...but im just talking about in general or from your personal experience. thanks

Yep the do get busted, however the smart ppl know how to keep things under control.

I never really went to parties in HS, but one thing you can do to not get busted and still have a good time is not go to such big parties. If the party is so big the local HS students are showing up, you know it's gotten out of control. These parties are getting busted because of noise and what you see in the movies is not realistic.
At my school, cops will only check you if you're puking in bushes or doing something that indicates you are completely smashed. You also get caught if you make a lot of noise.
Quite honestly, the small parties where it's just you and your friends hanging out are just as much fun (if not more fun) as the huge ones you're going to.
BTW, puking up your guts or having a killer hang over is NOT fun. I won't lecture you on the dangers of alcohol, but nothing ruins a perfectly good night of a little booze, dancing, and lost inhibitions like not being able to remember it and having your head stuck in a toilet. Also, drinking too much can ruin your reputation in college. My friend told me of this one girl who drank so much so often that she regularly wet the bed. Another girl down the hall from me got into a major fight with her ex, slept with some random guy, wet the bed, threw up on the floor, fell asleep in the cold bathroom, and then woke up and went to class next day feeling like death swarmed over her. What do you think the people on my hall think of her? Just be careful.

Yes, the parties get busted, especially if they attract attention because of noise, rude behavior, etc. As someone else noted, college drinking is a major concern right now, and all universities are cracking down hard. There's a big difference between movies like "Animal House" and the reality of most colleges.

Underage drinking is a huge problem at colleges/universities, and the schools try their best to stop it.

in our university it doesnt really matter...however those who are making acts contrary to the school policy and human rights they are being busted by the admin....

they dont at my college! our campus doesnt have frat or sororities houses so all the frats and sororities have their parties at local bars or clubs...anybody else just have house parties and they the cops dont show up...
