i am about to start studying at monash uni (victoria), accounting and finance and am wondering how much the average text book costs and how many i need in my first year. also how can i get second hand books. thanks.

I am writing a descriptive essay on Turkey about the economics, but I am stuck to write a general thesis for the whole essay >_<. So im thinking its like "The economics of Turkey has been defined by_______." You don't need to tell me about the country of Turkey but any other examples of writing about economics =].

I'm a running start student and I am told that I was suppose to choose a major right now. I'm really confuse. Do you need to choose a major in community college or can you just complete the basic requirements for the assoiciate degree?

I am taking 5 classes this semester, and after hours of online searching, i finally got all the textbooks I need for $120.

they are earlier editions, and all used... it's a lot of money for books!!

why are they so dang expensive??

I have returned back to school after 35 yrs. I have alittle knowledge but really, reeeally need some kind folks who may be able to assist me with fractions, & more. After having a ruptured anuerysm in my brain last year, I haven't been able to work, & won't be capable of doing the work I've done in the past. I have tried math.com etc.... but cannot afford the fees for tutorial services. Please...does anyone out there have any info., suggestions, ideas...where I may be able to find help? Thanks

I am so stuck on a assigment for a womans studies course. We have to do an "outrageous act" and then write about it. They prof said the act could be something like writing an editor about a sexist article, going in "drag", it can be really anything.

Writing letters is not challenging, and I'm not a man so me going in drag would be pointless...

Does anybody have any interesting/challenging ideas for an outrageous feminist act?

I have a bad overall GPA right now. I had one D last semester in algebra 2 and another D from my Junior year in geometry. If I go to a community college that has a transfer program to UCLA or UC Berk, is there a chance they might reject me because of my grades from high school or will they consider me?

If I do continue the community college route, I plan to push myself

I had a 2.8 GPA from Junior year (one AP class)
I currently have a 3.0 GPA for my Senior year (one AP, one Honors and one Advanced)


I need to make a quick decision because if I know for sure I can't get into UCLA to Berk, I'm going to a 4-year school in SF State. Please give me something to think about.
