In what is likely a completely opposite response from most people, I would have a little more fun. I was a geeky, straight A's, and very boring college student. Now that I'm out of school, I'm looking back and thinking, "Oh man. I should have had fun while I could, because now life is nothing but work and boredom. And bill paying."

In all honesty I would probably not go, not until getting out in the real world and working for 3 or 4 years to appreciate life more.
The problem is I got very good grades in high school so college was pretty much expected - but grades aren't everything.
College was great, but I feel there were many missed opportunities and a lot of growing up I should have done BEFORE going.

Ensure that I get an advisor who knows what the heck he or she is doing. My experience with attending a top ten university is that the instructors (for the most part) are there because they can do research. Both teaching/advising are basically extra duties, i.e. like making coffee, that they really don't put much time into or really care about.
As a result, I have taken numerous courses out of sequence, am graduating 1 1/2 semesters later than expected and sometimes register for courses without the proper prerequistes.

Good question. I'd definitely get an internship. I studied hard, partied hard... and otherwise had a great time (and got good grades too). But the people that got internships right out of school ended up with the best jobs - especially if you're in a major that doesn't have an obvious career path (like English for me).

Honestly??? I'd party more. I was one of these who concentrated on studying all the time and never made friends in college.

Why did I have to kill you young Bobby?
If I could go back, I think this time I would have let Bobby live.
maybe have taken Jake and Susans life instead.
