I graduated from H.S. in 2001, since then I have been in and out college. I have always wanted to go to law school but I didn't want to spend alot of time or money on school. I started taking classes for nursing. Well I came to my senses and decided to just focus on finishing school and then applying to law school. My problem is that now I have about 2 1/2 more years of undergrad to bring up my GPA and take the LSAT. Would it matter that I didn't do so well in the first two years of undergrad? I'm currently 24 now and I'm going back to school this coming fall. I want to take about 16 credit hours and come out with a really high GPA. Is this even possible. I'm thinking about majoring in business with a minor in finance or major in political science with a minor in criminal justice. Any thoughts on how to better my chances of getting into a good law school. I'm in NC now and if I don't pull up my GPA or get a high LSAT score, then I have to go to North Carolina Central University.

My cousins told me that it is a school with a Hotel and Restaurant Management course that helps their students to go abroad particularly in Alberta, Canada after finishing their training here in the Philippines.

I've applied but have heard mixed reviews, with some people saying there are disruptive students there. I would like to attend as it's quite near me, and I'm married and want to stay at home to keep the fees down, and not leave my husband! Any comments most welcome.

Hi.

I have a question on privacy law regarding academic grades,
especially concerning a student's parents.

What's the law on grade reporting to a student's parents?
By grade, I mean the marks a student receives in high-school
and university.

Is it true, for someone who's under 18 (or is it 21?), that the
education institution can send his/her grades to his/her parents,
but not after he's over 18 (or 21)?

Thanks.

On the syllabus our professor says, "All assignments are due by Sunday at midnight." Would you assume she meant by the end of Sunday or the end of Saturday?

My life goal is to be a Succesful business owner of a major coperation. More along the lines of me being my own boss. My father wants me to be a doctor though. If i do become a doctor, it would have to be a plastic surgeon. What do you think? Maybe I can do both. My cousin that is in medical school says i should become a doctor first, because you need money to start your business ventures. But if anything i would rather become and entrepenuer. Also, would it be possible to make the same amount of money as a Plastic surgeon, or is being a doctor just playing it safe? Thanks!

my son goes into year 10 this year, and he is still unsure of what he would like to do with his life, but he has said that he would like to go to university.
he said perhaps he would like to be a doctor (although he doesnt know what type) or a lawyer (once again, he doesnt know what type).
apparently you need a VERY high UAI to get into university to study these subjects. My son is very interested in sydney university in particular.

can anyone further explain:
- how hard it is to get a high UAI
- what is it like to study these subjects
- what is it like to be a doctor or lawyer?
