In the USA the competition to get into Colleges of Pharmacy is very tough. Although you technically might be able to get into a College of Pharmacy from any undergraduate college, I think your chances are a lot better if you are applying from the undergraduate program of a university to that universities own College of Pharmacy. What you really need to do is to set your sights on one or two schools, then check carefully to see what the entrance requirements are for those schools. In a few schools you are admitted tot he College of pHarmacy when you apply to the university - then you just have to keep your GPA high while you are doing your science pre-reqs. In other schools you have to take 2 to 4 years of undergrad and then you take PCATs (like SATs but just for pharmacy) and then you are admitted.

Since there is a big demand for pharmacists and the salary is very high, there are a lot of smart kids who are trying to get into these schools. If you are not a very good student, especially in math, chemistry and biology, you will probably not be able to compete. But if you do like science, especially chemistry, then you will be in great shape. When you get into college, you will have to take biochemistry and organic chemistry (which is a REALLY hard course... only a smart hardworking student can get A in that course). If you can get A in organic chemistry, then I think you will get into pharmacy school and be able to do well.
