I have just finished O level in Singapore and haven decide on which course to take. I have an interest in helping couple to take wedding photograph and edit their video for their big day so I might want to go into Film, sound and Media course in Ngee Ann poly. But I doubt that there is prospect for this kinda job. I am a only child in the family so I need to have an profession in some area to be able to support family. I have also consider Civil and Structrual Engineering course in Singapore Poly.. any comment on these two course will be appreciated. Serious answer please, Thank You.

Someone really needs needs to know the Singapore job market to answer you on this. If you were in the US, I'd say there is a market for both, and you can make money in either. The more traditional job, Engineering, is safer. But they are so different. Maybe Film is your passion. Passion is a good predictor of success. The only thing I'd add, if you chose video, is for you not to limit yourself to weddings, especially in the beginning. Whatever people want to film, could be a corporation inauguration, go for it. Start now, before your course. You'll know how good you can be and how much you like it.

Civil engineering would be the way to go but make sure it is aimed at what your countries future needs in this area is going to be.
