i need to know just one thing. can it be written as if I were writing a book, like: A Rose for Emily

or does it have to state the problem, for ex: Language in the Light in August

(i think i have seen both examples)

Need to know what country you're in! I don't know if things are done differently in America, but in Te British system you have to state the problem. For example, my thesis title was: Autism: a Psycho-analytic exploration. Good luck with it!

I've seen everything from one-word thesis titles to thesis titles that might as well be the entire abstract! I'd keep it short but descriptive.

A title should be a brief phrase stating the specific topic of your paper.
