I'm currently a Senior in college and I'm a double major in Forensic Science and Chemistry. I would like to attend the School of Medicine at the Univ. of Pennsylvania to receive a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Science. I received a D in one of my classes. I had cancer a year and a half ago and had to go thru radiation treatments and medication. I felt really lousy that semester and did poorly in many of my classes. I have space to make up all of them for a better grade, but one of them is causing a financial hardship. I have to pay extra money for credit overages. And I will also have to register for my intership/research which could potentially cost me $2700. I don't want to take out a loan. I could drop this repeat class and register for my intership. The only drawback is that I will have to live with a D on my transcript which bothers me, especially since I would like to go on to grad school, an Ivy at that. My GPA right now stands at a 3.5.

how am I supposed to tell my parents I want to drop out of college. I live with them and they paid my 3 grand for tuition. I completed 1 semester already and i am 3 weeks into my second, but I absolutly hate it, I hate school in general, I hate my classes, my classmates annoy me, I hate going to school, i know this course is not right for me, I feel very depressed and i think dropping out would be the right move for me right now, I can always go back right? I just want to work, and get out into the real world, i have already worked for a year before i enrolled in college I hated my job before, but I think i can find a much happier job for myself. i know my parents will say no, and if i really want to drop out ill have to go against their wishes wish in turn would mean my moving out, which I cant because I have zero money. what if i offered to pay them back 3 grand because I "wasted" their money, I feel like they will resent me for the rest of my life if I drop out.

I hate school, but am thinking i should go back and actually do something with my life. i have no clue what i want to be. if i am going to go to college i want it to be worth it. i heard a dental hygeienst takes 2 years... but im thinking that is wrong and its probably 4 years. anyone know how long you have to go to school for, and do you think it would be worth it?

I had gone to my Module leader for the thesis/dissertation and he had said that my topic was too broad and so I think I have narrowed it down:- What do you think? still too broad?

Topic:

'How a brand can be a global brand but still have national strategies: Studying the strategy adopted by Levis in different markets'

Objectives:

* Explore the marketing strategy implemented by Levis in the UK compared to the USA.
* Evaluate the link between brand personality and the marketing strategy.
* Identify how well is the present strategy working.

This has to be submitted on 23rd February- the proposal for the Thesis I mean. I will make an appointment with the module leader once again end of this week, so please give me some feedback before.

Thanks

I am a librarian and would like to do a mock archaeological dig for area children. I plan to pre-place items for the children to find, such as old coins, bottles or pottery etc. Is there anyone who could help me figure out what items I will need for this project. Thanks

ok heres the situation, I am in college and I am 3 weeks into the semester. for the first week, I attended like 3 of my classes, then proceded to skip a weeks worth of classes, then I talked to my teachers on email and told them I was sick and coming back, so I came back for like 3 more classes, the main reason I miss class if because I always sleep in and miss my bus, then it just discourages me from going to school, half the time my parents are home so I have to to go to school, I just end up going to the computer lab because I dont want to go to class, I fear I am going to get called out by my trachers and my fellow classmates. I havent attended class in a week and I recently emailed my teachers again( I am a shut-in, I dont want to go talk to them) i feel like I cant attend class because i do not know what we are doing what assignments are due, I already missed a test and my grade are not good as it is.

I'm a student at CSUDH and no joke in two of my classes people have answered questions using some of the WORST grammar I have ever heard, I know 5 year olds that can speak using better grammar than these "college" students. I mean why can't people take the approach that they are in school not at home with their friends and they should speak to professors with respect not with a sense of kinship? What happened to the idea that you use correct grammar all the time, especially when in class?

I sit around on the couch all day long watching TV, looking for new jobs, and see commercials for 2-year business schools; i.e. National American University
I'm thinking about Minnesota School of Business Globe College - Health Care Management
ANYWAY does anyone know how great these schools are, if they get you anywhere? Not so much the Minnesota one because I know most of you don't live in MN :)

I'm currently at the University of Cincinnati and am trying to get into the business school at Ohio State: Fisher School of business. I had A's and B's in high school with some hard classes and lots of math. I got a 22 on my ACT and I have a 3.0 in college so far. I want to transfer by next year. I've heard that OSU is getting pretty selective since they're no longer expanding the size of their school. Do I have a chance of transfering? Anyone no anything about OSU?

I'm interested in the University of Phoenix online programs but I'm not sure if you can earn a master's degree 100% online or if I would have to take actual campus classes first then transfer to finish getting the degree.

I was thinking of getting a BA in general studies so that I could qualify for a teachers certificate here in Washington State.. but I really don't know what to think of this online university thing. Does it work? Is it easy to learn and comprehend? How respected is your online BA degree? any insight would be helpful!
