I haven't heard of too many colleges that actually state what their low cutoff is - perhaps some state universities have to do that. Manhattan College is not a state school - it is connected to the Catholic church. And, it is a very respectable school, so I would guess that if you don't have a B average, you are going to have a tough time getting in. On theire website they don't seem to list any miimum GPA except for the GPA for transfer students coming from another college (2.5) and they say that even a GED can be accepted under certain circumstances......

If you have a lower average you should do your application the best you can, and try to get an interview so that you can convince them that you are a serious student. Good luck.

The average high school GPA for incoming freshman was a 3.35...that is about an 88 on a 100 point scale.

According to the admissions site, the minimum acceptable GPA is a 2.25.
