I have a huge problem. I have the choice of going to Temple University or Rutgers University. I live in New Jersey, so Tuition for Temple obviously costs more than it would be if I went to Rutgers. However, my whole family goes/went to Temple and lives in Philly. I know it's the perfect college for me. However, my parents won't let me attend Temple, even though they both met there. So how do I persuade them to let me attend Temple?

This is my first year of college, and i basically just pick some classes that interested me. However, i intend to pick Accounting as my major. When I looked up my school's catalog, many of the classes i am taking now doesn't require for the accounting major...I just felt i wasted time taking those courses. And If i wanna pick a major, do i have to fill out application for the administration office? Or i just have to complete all the courses that required for that major. I got the catalog, and i know what courses i need to complete in that major.

I really need to know the answer, please help

Looking for a place between Texas and Alabama, but other suggestions are fine. Also, education isn't cheap, best answer is name, location and cost of tuition.
