No, apply and have good grades and you should make it.

It doesn't look particularly selective. According to Princeton Review, the average incoming student has a B average and 1000 on the combined Verbal-Math portions of the SAT.

US News doesn't give it a very high ranking

Probably Not...only the most selective schools are hard to get into even with good grades and SAT.
