I am a highschool senior considering pharmacy. I am smart and a lot of people think I would be good at it. I took 4 years of Latin in high school, and I like Chemistry.

I know they make on average like $91,998 a year, which will definitely pay back my college loans, and it sounds really good considering my family only makes like 1/5 of that.

I am just concerned about the hours (they're long right?). If I have a family in the future I wouldn't want crazy hours, so would I be able to work part time? (assuming I marry a smart guy that makes a good amount). I wouldn't want to work all of the time if I have kids (but I'd probably want to work more when they go to school).

LOL I know I sound crazy bcuz it sounds like I am planning too far ahead. Also, what will I need to do in college for my first year, and the years that follow. Should I say on collgeapps that I'm interested in Pre-Pharm major even though it is not definite? What is required of a pharmacy student (tests, etc.) THNX

I generally enjoy my job but this is one of those frustrating times of the year as I am suddenly receiving lots of work that was due a month ago with grades due Monday. In the last week I have been getting lots of whining emails such as:
- I thought question 3 on the test was too subjective - please change it or I'll complain to your department chair (it was covered in the book, in class, on the study sheet, and in the review session)
- I just realized I forgot to drop your class and am failing- can you get me in your (already full) class next semester and let me sit in and give me credit?
- I'm sorry I forgot to turn in XXX- I need to keep a 3.0 GPA with my scholarship. Could you count my 77average as a B?
Am I overreacting? I don't think I ever did this to any of my profs.

I plan to apply for law school next year. It has been more than a year since I graduated from college. I want to know how to make appropriate request, but not to sound thoughtless or anything like that.

I would like to know how hard it will be for me to major in Accounting?

I’m not used to studying hard. I’m used to being the “lazy student” and barely passing. I love Math but I took Calculus 1 and I didn’t pass it because I couldn’t keep up with how fast the class (the class wasn't hard it was just too fast) was moving when I was in College. I also took Microeconomics and I was lost in that class, I just didn't get it and found it boring. I have a very bad memory, I don't like to read too much, my writing skills are bad not horrible and I have a hard time concentrating when I’m trying to study.

Any advice how I can achieve the above or any options on what I should do, like any book that might prepare me or any advice?

Thank you ;-)

I applied to NYU for their spring semester, which starts January 8, 2007. My application wasn't late, and I mailed off all of my supplementary materials a few days after I filled out the application online. They only give you three weeks before the semester starts to decide if you want to attend the school, The semester starts in four weeks and I've recieved no response. I'm worried this is an indication that I didnt get accepted. Is my concern justified? Please....someone who attends the school or may've been employed by admissions, answer me A.S.A.P.

Thanx in advance

I'm interested in getting my bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice but don't know if I should go to a traditional 4 year school or to a technical school like ITT Tech or Westwood College.

I've tried to attend a traditional school in the past but did poorly. But when I went to a technical school for my associate's degree in business I did so much better because the classes were so small.

What does everyone recommend? Should I pursue a education in a environment where I did poorly and hope for the best or go to a technical school but risk not being able to get a job in the future?
