What type of courses can I expect in Medical School?

I want to become a surgeon but not a specfic one just yet. I currently have a 3.5899 in HS.If anyone can tell me what to expect such as the courses I would really apperciate it, thanks.

Are you talking about surgical residency? When you are in medical school you take general classes to decide what you really want to go into. You will take classes such as Genetics, Gross Anatomy, Medical Biochemistry, Cell and Tissue Biology, Microbiology, General Pathology etc... Then your last two years will be more clinical. You will have rotations in obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Anestthesiology, Surgery, family medicine, and psychiatry, and internal medicine.

You don't need to worry about that yet. First you have to get through a regular college with a BS or BA degree and a pre-med concentration.

When you are a Senior in college you can apply to med school. The programs at different med schools are pretty different, but you willbe able to make a better decision after you have tried some of the college courses to see how you like them.'

After you get into med school and graduate with your MD degree, then you can start working on your surgical qualifications. It is going to take quite a few years - like maybe 6 -10 after you get out of Med School.

When you are in college you will have to take calculus, physics, chemistry, biology and organic chemistry to get ready for med school, so in high school you need to take as much math as possible, and as much chemistry as possible to get ready. Take AP classes if you can.

I'm going to medical school too.

From what I've heard.. people tell me there's obviosuly alot of biology
