In all honesty, it depends on what you want to do with your life and what your strengths are. There are many successful people out there who do not have college degrees (many actors, artists, etc). But, they had a special niche, and succeeded based on the talents they have.
If you don't get a college degree, expect to start working in (most likely) a service-oriented environment (customer service, administrative, food industry, hospitality). It is possible to move up within these industries, but expect it to be a slow, competitive process.
If you are unsure about college, I would attempt to secure employment in a field you are interested in (such as business, hospitality, etc) and see how you like it, and then decide what you want to do. You can always go to college or technical school later in life - more people are doing that rather than going right out of high school.
Good luck!

You can survive without a college degree. However, things will be much more difficult, unless you have a special talent or skill that is found in few people (e.g. you are an exceptionally good athlete, muscian, actor/actress, etc.)
Having a college degree helps make you more competitive in the job market. The competition for jobs has increased significantly in the last decade or so, to the point where an undergraduate degree will no longer be a ticket to a good job. It used to be that a college degree was not a necessity, but that has changed.
You can make it without a college degree. However, the types of jobs available will be very limited, and it will be much harder to find something you would enjoy doing and that proves worth your effort.

Wow! There are so many! You might look at an associate degree from a technical college just to get an idea of different vocations. There are medical jobs such as radiologist and x-ray technician. There is being a dental assistant. Anting in the medical field will have some security such as nurse's aide or LPN (licensed practical nurse). I think you do need some further training in order to get a skilled job in some area that would over you job security, a decent wage, the ability to save for retirement and health coverage.

In the work world I've met people smarter than me without a degree. The main problem is getting your foot in the door to be able to prove your mettle. First choice will go to people who can hack college.
So you can succeed in corporate life without a degree. But work may come as even more a shock to you if you're intimidated by college.
Alternatively you could marry or join a commune. There are hippy dipply places in California like Harbin Hot Springs where they need workers. You can live there cheaply and have free use of the springs.

There are very few jobs that have growth potential in the long run that do not require a college degree. If you just want something stable (read: no growth), you can go to a vocational college and get certified in something like computer technician or medical office clerk or _____. Whether it is because you're not motivated or if you don't see yourself fitting in at a college setting, or whatever, it's most important to figure out what you love to do. That goal will drive everything else.

A college degree would open a big variety of choices for careers. Obtaining a college degree isn't as hard as people make it sound like. I'm in grad school, so I went through so much already w/ school. Trust that you can do better for your life when you get a college degree.

In jobs without a degree, the amount of money earned is often related to the risk involved. So if you can weld and dive, and want to risk your life doing both at the same time you get a decent amount of dough. However if you injure yourself then it is a lot harder to make the same amount of money as you did before. Many firefighters don't have degrees, but then again it is a risk=reward type of job. Often times you are going to have some one over you who isn't smarter than you, but they finished college and now they get to tell you what to do.

A college degree is always better. But if you have ambition, and the will to work 20 hr. days, anyone could succeed.

There is no "crystal ball" answer for that question...
But, let me ask you a few questions....
Which mechanic would you visit, one with AST certification and trained in an auto mechanic school or one who learned to work on engines in his garage?
Which plastic surgeon would you visit, one who went to med school, or one who didn't (supposing there is one out there)?
I guess you get the point... you want to take seriously? Get serious.... you want to get hired by a good company? Get serious about education....
Getting a college education won't guarantee your future, but I think is better to take destiny into your own hands than leaving it to chance... don't you agree?

There's an associate degree, maybe if you've got the talent, you can make it as an entertainer. You can become an assistant at several facilities.
