i was just wondering what could a person do with a masters in bio in the USA...

Check out Science's Next Wave. They often have articles answering questions like this. Some people with master's go on to teach high school, junior high, elementary school. Other's apply to other schools, such as medical school or law school. More lucratively if you had the right skills people with masters sometimes work on the business end of biotechnology or work for law firms in intellectual property. The possibilities are endless.

You can make a good case to get into a Phd program...or work as a research assistant/associate at a teaching facility. Other than that...I guess you could become a biology teacher ranging from anywhere between K-12...if you have good credentials and a strong teaching background you could be a lecturer or a teaching assistant at a major university.
