According to USNews, UCLA is ranked 26th in the Nation and USC is ranked 27th.

A UCLA education is about 1/2 the cost of a USC education.

If money is not a major concern, you can be rest assured that you will enjoy a comparable education from either institution and will be afforded comparable weight when applying for a postgraduate degree. So, at that point, it is simply a matter of which campus you like better and which area feels more like "home."

On the whole, UCLA is a better school than USC -- but not by much. US News & World Reports rank then #26 and #27 respectively. Other rankings have a bigger gap between them.

There are a few departments where USC dominates. For example, their film school is rated the best in the country.

As I look at my USC diplomas I have decided I have a biased point of view and shouldn't answer this question.

BTW, I would return in a second.
