It depends on the major. Someone with a vocational degree, in say, Medical Technology or Practical Nursing is going to make more than someone with a BA in English. (I have that MLT and the English BA, guess what I do for a living?)
Now, a business degree might be a different story.

Usually - but not always - college graduates will make more money than vocational school graduates. However, there really are some high paying vocational jobs.
Good Luck!!!

Stats from the Census http://www.census.gov/population/www/socdemo/educ-attn.html
show direct links: the more education you get, the higher your average earnings will be.
"Adults ages 25 to 64 who worked at any time during the study period (1997-1999) of a special report issued by the Census in 2002 earned an average of $34,700 per year. Average earnings ranged from $18,900 for high school dropouts to $25,900 for high school graduates, $45,400 for college graduates, and $99,300 for workers with professional degrees (M.D., J.D., D.D.S., or D.V.M.). With exception of workers with professional degrees who have the highest average earnings each successively higher education level is associated with an increase in earnings."

it depends on what college degree, and what trade. Master plumbers make more money than anybody, but like college apprenticeship is no joke. Either way, it's your life. you must decide how much money you need to be content and how much sh_t you can stand to eat to get there.
